Bring the flavors of the island to your back yard. It’s easy to do with ingredients you probably have in your fridge already: hot dogs, buns, pineapple, red onion and jalapeno. First, grill your hot dogs. Next grill some pineapple rounds. Simply place on a hot grill for 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from heat and cut into diamonds. If desired, grill your buns. Top your dogs with the grilled pineapple and sliced jalapeno and red onions to taste. If you want some extra crunch, add some chopped macadamia nuts. Infuse your mayo with some teriyaki sauce for topping and you’re all set.
Admit it. A fried egg makes everything better. This is a dog you can easily prepare for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Grill your dogs while you crisp up some hash browns over medium heat. Add onions to the potatoes and let cook. Place the hashbrowns and onions on the bun and nestle the hot dog on top. Top with a fried egg cooked to your preference. Drizzle with ketchup or hot sauce.
